I know the battery went dead on your cell. Not to worry, from now on whenever I hear static, I'll know your battery is low.

I wanted to thank you for the excellent advice you gave me. Now you know exactly what my M.D. goes through with me. Yes Doc, I put him through that, and he is so patient with me. He knows that once he explains the consequences of my foolish actions, that I shall relent and not behave in the way I have previously planned. I never said I was not strong-willed, but when presented with logic and sound reason I back off and take the road and common sense. My M.D. learned that about me a long time ago, and it's how he wins arguments with me he would otherwise not win. The argument about my not going to New York City though was not logical, but emotional. He was born and raised in Manhattan, and he feels that I am far too good-hearted a person to ever be there for any amount of time. At that point he was not being a M.D., but he is being a friend. Therefore, I shall go to New York whenever I choose; I just won't tell him.
;=) No need to worry him unnecessarily.

So, I shall pop into his office on Thursday to see if I need some special certificate for the equipment you mentioned, AND there shall be no aerobics for the prescribed time or until my doctors tell me it is acceptable. Not only are you a handsome man, but you are darned smart as well. I have learned a great deal from you in such a short period of time.

I almost forgot: I shall set upon a fairly semi-balanced diet immediately.
I don't know if I can manage 3 square meals, but at least 2. My doctor says if only I eat an egg (for protein) and even Ensure, and keep my fluids up he shall be happy. I love fruits and vegetables, but he stresses protein, and now you have explained why. My sister, Ms. Scientist, gave me the same advice as the doctors without the benefit of explaining why. I am a "why" person. You cannot simply tell me to do something without explaining "why". Once I understand the logic behind it, I am with you all of the way.
